I haven’t made it down there yet, but this weekend I’m seriously tempted to take a trip into Islington—because anything that combines good coffee and dogs already feels like a win in my book.
WagWorks, a city dog care brand I’ve had my eye on for a while, is opening something new called The Coffee House at its Islington location, and it sounds like exactly the kind of place London dog owners need in this part of town. Launching on Saturday 28th March, they’re kicking things off with 50% off your first drink and even a free puppuccino—which, let’s be honest, is probably the real headline if you’ve got a small dog like mine.
As someone with a little Yorkie, Luna, I’m always on the lookout for places that actually welcome smaller dogs rather than just tolerate them. From what I’ve read, this isn’t just a café that allows dogs—it’s been designed with them in mind. That alone makes it feel a bit different from your standard coffee stop.
The Coffee House will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 7am to 2pm, so it’s clearly aiming to become a go-to for early morning coffees or those post-walk pit stops. I can already picture it: quick flat white in hand, Luna tucked under the table (or more likely trying to charm everyone in the room), and a relaxed, dog-loving crowd around us.
What I like most is that it builds on what WagWorks already does. They’re known for offering doggy daycare, training, grooming, and even healthcare—all under one roof—so this café feels like a natural extension of that community. It’s not just about grabbing a coffee; it’s about creating a space where dog owners can actually hang out and connect.
The whole thing has been founded by people who clearly get it—lifelong dog lovers who understand the challenges of raising dogs in a city. That shows in the details, from the thoughtful design to the focus on dogs’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
I haven’t been yet, but I already have a feeling Luna would absolutely love it—and if she’s happy, I’m happy. This might just end up being our new favourite London spot.
