Anyone who has met Chef Andre Lucien will know he is not in the business of doing things by halves. After recently catching up with the founder of House of Flavaz for FLVR’s People Focus series, it seemed only right to take a closer look at the Caribbean culinary hotspot he has built, and there is plenty happening to keep Londoners’ weekends looking very lively indeed.
House of Flavaz has already carved out a name for itself as one of West London’s most vibrant cultural hangouts, a place where food, music and atmosphere come together in full force. Now, it is giving Saturdays an upgrade with the launch of its new Bottomless Link Up brunch, created in partnership with Windrush 1027 Rum, and it sounds like exactly the kind of weekend plan worth clearing the diary for.

Running every Saturday from midday until 4pm at UNDR, the brunch is designed for those who like their weekends with plenty of flavour and a little flair. For £30 per person, guests can settle in for a full Caribbean-inspired feast, choosing any main dish served with rice and peas, slaw and sweet plantain, alongside an hour of bottomless drinks. The pouring options are equally tempting, with a signature rum punch powered by Windrush 1027 Rum bringing tropical energy to the table, while bottomless prosecco is there for anyone in a more sparkling mood.
The menu is pure comfort with Caribbean soul running through every plate. The oxtail is rich and slow-cooked until tender, deeply savoury and made for long, lazy lunches. Curry goat arrives fragrant with spice and full of depth, while escovitch fish delivers golden fried red snapper topped with the sharp, punchy dressing that gives the dish its signature kick. Jerk chicken comes packed with smoky heat, balanced by a sweet plantain dip that adds just the right amount of contrast, while slow roast pork belly is glazed with rum and paired with Jamaican spiced apple purée for something indulgent and just a little decadent.

Vegetarians are far from forgotten, thanks to the ackee and chickpea casserole, a vibrant take on a Caribbean classic that brings together the buttery texture of ackee with sautéed chickpeas, herbs, thyme, scotch bonnet and peppers in one deeply comforting dish. It is colourful, fragrant and every bit as satisfying as the meat-heavy favourites beside it.
What makes House of Flavaz stand out is that it never feels like just another brunch spot chasing the bottomless trend. This is a place with real personality, built on Chef Andre Lucien’s passion for celebrating Caribbean flavours and culture in a way that feels authentic, warm and unmistakably joyful. The food is generous, the drinks keep flowing, and by the time last orders roll around at 3pm, chances are nobody will be in much of a hurry to leave.
For West Londoners looking to swap the standard eggs-and-mimosas formula for something with more spice, more rhythm and a lot more flavour, House of Flavaz may just have created the perfect Saturday ritual.
